A05 Alarm

The A05 alarm appears on MCZ pellet stoves when the flue pipe is blocked or the door of the appliance is opened. It is triggered by the pressure switch that measures the pressure difference in the flue.

Resolution

1. Check that the flue pipe is not blocked and that the stove is not dirty or obstructed with combustion residues
2. Check the condition of the seal on the stove door to see if it is tight. Place a piece of paper on the seal as you close the door. If the door slides open without resistance, the gasket must be changed.
3. Check that the pressure switch is not obstructed (it is located in the stove, it may be a small transparent silicone tube connected to a small rounded piece, or a sensor mounted directly in the air intake tube, 2 screws hold it, it must be cleaned of dust and put back in place).
4. Remove the alarm on the control panel by putting the data-toggle=tooltip data-placement=top data-html=true>ON-Remote-OFF button of your device on OFF for about ten seconds
5. Wait until the screen displays OFF, then put the switch back on Remote.
6. Clean the unit: empty the ashes, clean the brazier and vacuum
7. As soon as OFF is displayed on the remote control, you can restart the stove

If these checks are not sufficient, a technician is required.
