As imposing as it is minimalist, the Antéfocus fireplace was Dominque Imbert's first creation in 1967, initially for his personal use during a long and harsh winter.
Despite its international success, the Antefocus chimney continues to be produced individually, by hand, with its visible welds and waxed steel patina. The first creation by designer Dominique Imbert for his personal use, it bears the name Antéfocus because it was his creation that foreshadowed the birth of the Focus Workshops.
All the originality of this work of art lies in its very large fireplace of nearly two meters, which can accommodate logs of exceptional dimensions. Although the design of this fireplace may now look somewhat vintage, its clean lines make it a very contemporary open fireplace. Its steel structure will find its place in the most classic interiors up to the most assertive industrial styles.
